The 3’-acceptor stem is based on a 7 nucleotide CGC repeat (CCGCCGC).
tRNA 22-26 was initially GGCGG, typically changed to GGGCG in evolution to form a more stable D stem (GGGC pairs with GCCU).
tRNA V1-V5 was initially CCGCC, typically changed to AGGUC in evolution because of interactions with the D stem.
